Advocacy

As many of you know, Austin Independent School District (AISD) is currently reviewing its 116 schools as part of a consolidation process that may result in the closure of some AISD schools.  AISD has a webpage dedicated to the school consolidation process that contains lots of information. If you are looking for a place to start: information on the reasoning, goals, and other basics around consolidation can be found in the “School Consolidation Basics FAQs” section of the webpage.

Lamar PTA wants to understand your level of awareness and participation in the consolidation process, and your concerns about potential outcomes. Your responses will help inform our understanding of community needs and perspectives. Please take the time to fill out this 5-10 min survey! Thank you!
